"You Can't be Serious" Hot Table Sauce
R25.00
Our In-House Sauce is aptly named "You Can't Be Serious" Hot Sauce.
Our price is hot too - a low R25 for 375ml of goodness.
It's our own blend of Birds-Eye and local chillies, pressure cooked with onions, garlic, red & green sweet peppers, lemon juice, vinegar and some of our secret green herbs and spices. This is then blended with Sweet Chilli Sauce for a more manageable heat! In testing, we found that our Hot Sauce will keep in an opened refrigerated bottle for 2 years plus (a sealed bottle in the cupboard keeps for 6 - 8 months).
"You Can't Be Serious" Chicken Braai Basting Sauce
R35.00
This is our version of a Chicken Basting sauce if you want to make your own Nando's style flame grilled chicken.
Our price is a low R35 for 700ml of basting sauce - two to four tablespoons will do one chicken (can be used as a table condiment - NOT advisable!!).
It's our own blend of Birds-Eye and local chillies, pressure cooked with onions, garlic, red & green sweet peppers, lemon juice, vinegar, sugar and some of our secret green herbs and spices. To use, and 2 tablespoons (or more - to taste) to a cup with your favourite herbs & spices and a dollop of olive oil. Prick the chicken (it should be split spatchcocked or jointed) all over with a skewer and rub your basting mix to cover the whole chicken. Place in a roasting dish with a lid. BEFORE the chicken goes to the braai, add a little wine or water to the pan, put lid on and let it simmer for 10 minutes on low heat. Turn, add some more liquid if needed and simmer for 10 mins more. On the braai, baste frequently with the leftover sauce from the roasting dish, or just rotate it at intervals between the pan and the fire (we leave our pan on the fire but to the side to help reduce the liquid and keep it simmering).

Refrigerated sauce shelf-life is 2 years plus and unrefrigerated is 5 - 6 months.
